TL; DR: We need more of you around these parts.
Early this year, I relocated to this new area of town. On random occasions during the commute into work, I've been encountering this guy his red MINI sitting on 5 spoke dark bronze wheels. It seems he really likes his MINI too.
So, highway access to get places 'round here involves a series of two epic, decreasing radius on-ramps. The first one being about a mile or two down the road after you leave the neighborhood.
The first time I saw this guy, I noticed he instantly prepped the car and dove hard into the entry point. As I reached the on ramp: "Ooh" I say to myself. "So you wants to hoon too? I can gettings into hoon."
He caught on the moment I closed the distance and started tailing him. The MINI immediately hunkered down and the corner speeds rose. I then began to realize, by judging my current cornering limit, that 1. My car is heavy and AWD 2. I need summer tires and 3. This is wicked awesome he took the chase. The scenario repeated itself again after a dash onto the first highway leading to the next on-ramp.
Today was about the same, except I was the lead car. I rode the inside of the corner as hard as I could and watched the MINI run slightly wide and keep right on my left rear bumper, filling up my mirror... almost as if to taunt me. As the exit of the on-ramp neared, steering angle reduced and I thus let muh APR tuned 1.8t carry out the rest. With hilarious grins on both our faces, we reached the main highway, I look back and he waved forward as I gave a thumbs up in the rear view.
A great start to a Friday morning.
